Child protection is of the outmost importance on the border between Haiti and the Dominican Republic, particularly in the fight against child trafficking. For this reason, UNICEF is strengthening cooperation between both countries to fight this problem. Both countries conducted a joint mission in the region to analyse the situation of children in the area.
